HotShot Satellite Dish Heating Element - 18-20 in.
This heater element can be oriented vertically, as shown above, or horizontally to fit reflectors that
are generally 18” x 20” or slightly larger. In most cases the heater will need to be attached to the
front of the reflector for the maximum effect of the heater.
This is a low-voltage device and should be powered by one of our low voltage power supplies like
the HSPS24AC3AMP or the HSPS24AC7AMP-S. Both of these power supplies provide 24 volts of
AC power to the heater and that voltage should NOT be exceeded.
The PV18HSSL has a snap-action thermostat under the plastic ‘dome’ cover that activates the
heater circuit at approximately 49°F and turns the heater OFF when the antenna surface reaches
approximately 70°F. Electrical demand when heating is 70 watts.
